Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Efficiently manage resources, product control, and implementation of improvements, adding value to all production processes, in accordance with company-defined standards, quality, and safety regulations, in order to meet the goals and objectives established for the manufacturing area.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does have supervisory responsibilities for Manufacturing personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: SCOPE DESCRIPTION:
- Collaborate in the control of in-process product in all assigned production lines to ensure priority compliance and identify possible constraints.
- Ensure the results of the production line in order to monitor compliance with the Production Plan.
- Evaluate and implement changes in procedures, catalogs, First Article, First Shipment First Article, and other improvement opportunities in the production process to ensure they are carried out efficiently and adequately to achieve operating cost reduction.
- Support the production lines to clarify procedures and evaluate the technique applied in task execution, thus avoiding deviations from quality system requirements.
- Provide support in managing production capacity in order to agree on production commitments with the logistics department.
- Provide support during external or internal audit processes required by the regulatory body.
- Participate in improvement teams focused on Conversion Loss/SWAT and Operating Supplies, leading improvement teams and achieving the targets set by the department.
- In case of procedural deviations in areas under your charge, investigate the event and identify preventive and corrective actions in order to eliminate the root cause.
- Ensure the timely disposition of held material in accordance with the company’s quality system.
- Provide support to Human Resources to contribute to induction processes, job changes, and other cases that may occur in the area in charge.
- Ensure the motivation of your team members by timely reinforcing and recognizing, formally and informally, behaviors that promote AbbVie’s culture.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and legal EHS requirements by following policies and internal procedures. Likewise, ensure compliance through the adoption of strategies, internal controls, communication, and necessary training.
- Continuously improve EHS results through leadership, commitment, and active participation in all EHS-related initiatives.
- Execute any other duties inherent to the position and those assigned by the immediate supervisor, in order to make the best use of area resources.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field, or 80% completion of the degree and at least one year of experience in the Medical Industry.
- Intermediate English (B1, Common European Framework).
- At least 6 months of experience in the medical industry and/or knowledge of quality systems.
- One year of experience managing personnel or having been part of the support team (Desirable).
Other Professional Skills: Knowledge in GMPs, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Quality Auditor, Quality Systems, EHS
