Job Description
The Supply Chain Systems Manager will lead the strategic planning, design, and implementation of global supply chain systems initiatives across AbbVie’s portfolio of businesses. This role will be instrumental in driving end-to-end supply chain digital transformation—modernizing core systems, optimizing processes, and enhancing visibility, integration, and analytics across global operations. This leader will partner closely with IT, operations, procurement, logistics, and finance to ensure transformation initiatives deliver measurable business value and align with enterprise strategy.
Responsibilities
Transformation Strategy & Leadership:
- Define and execute the multi-year roadmap for global supply chain systems transformation, aligned with enterprise digital strategy.
- Serve as the strategic liaison between strategic supply chain domain owners and technology teams to ensure alignment of systems with operational goals.
- Lead global, cross-functional teams in deploying, testing, and monitoring various supply chain enhancement systems.
- Establish transformation governance frameworks to ensure disciplined program execution, stakeholder alignment, and benefits realization.
Systems & Process Optimization:
- Oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of supply chain technologies and platforms.
- Lead process redesign initiatives focused on standardization, automation, and simplification across Supply chain
- Partner with data and analytics teams to enhance end-to-end supply chain data enablement, visibility, governance, and automation.
- High level and focus on process orientation, setting and managing internal data integrity and control standards.
Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Support global change management strategies to ensure adoption of new systems and processes.
- Engage senior leaders across business units to drive transformation alignment and sponsorship.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to functional leaders, providing insights on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Effectively work in a project based environment, utilizing agile and waterfall methodologies for small to large development projects, and meeting and managing timelines with stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing transformation team with expertise in data governance, data enablement, process excellence, and digital supply chain solutions.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the global supply chain organization.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of experience, master’s degree plus 7 years of experience, PhD with 3 years of experience.
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes.
- Familiarity working in Agile formation supporting various pods across a global supply chain.
- Proven track record of successful large-scale ERP or supply chain system implementations (SAP S/4HANA etc.).
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, from procurement to distribution.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across global, matrixed organizations.
Preferred:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in global supply chain management, operations, or systems transformation.
- Passion for leveraging technology to drive efficiency, sustainability, and agility in supply chain operations.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our long-term incentive programs.
