Job Description
The Complaint Vigilance Specialist I supports patient safety and product quality by performing intake, assessment and documentation of product complaints and vigilance cases. This role ensures that all complaints and safety-relevant information are captured accurately, processed in compliance with applicable procedures and regulations, and routed to the appropriate quality and pharmacovigilance teams for evaluation and follow up
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate intake and documentation of product quality complaints and vigilance cases using approved questionnaires and tools.
- Identify product complaints linked to adverse events, medication errors or special situations and route them to the appropriate quality and safety teams
- Enter, update and maintain complete and compliant data in designated complaint and safety systems
- Support initial triage and classification of complaints and create related subcases or tasks as required
- Work with cross‑functional partners to obtain missing information and ensure timely follow up on cases
- Perform routine governance checks to confirm required complaint and vigilance records are created and processed correctly.
- Participate in required training to stay current on products, complaint intake standards and relevant systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred; preferably in the life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or other scientific background
- Prior experience in pharmacovigilance, product quality complaints, medical information, call centers, or other regulated healthcare environments is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy, with the ability to follow complex procedures and documentation standards.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; able to ask clarifying questions to obtain complete case information
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and meet timelines in a highly regulated setting
- Proficiency with computer systems, databases and standard office applications; experience with safety or complaint management systems is an advantage
- Solid written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
