Job Description

Purpose

Incumbent will have responsibility for Medicaid and 340B duplicate identification, initiation, and resolution. Regular communication and reconciliations with 340B Covered Entities (CEs) and state Medicaid contacts on open dispute items. Partner closely with the Medicaid Rebate management and team to ensure coordinated dispute recovery efforts, as well as dispute tracking across all types and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Medicaid and 340B duplicate discount identification, initiation and resolution.
  • Assist in developing strategies to minimize dispute resolution time with covered CEs & state agencies. by building relationships focused on problem solving for the mutual benefit of all parties to ensure compliance.
  • Proactively coordinate 340B recovery efforts by directly contacting state Medicaid contacts, CEs and/or Third-Party Vendors (TPV).
  • Coordinate recovery efforts with Medicaid Analyst counter parts by managing claim distribution and disputing.
  • Perform ongoing analysis of Open/Impasse 340B Claims balances by status.
  • Calculate Supplemental program dollar impact of identified Statutory claims.
  • Support third parties on an ongoing basis with URAs, CLD, and chargeback Data required for scrubbing.
  • Manage all Desk Top Procedures (DTPs) related to specific areas of responsibility.
  • Develop and foster solid internal and external relationships that facilitate job activities. Assist and act as liaison for various groups in relation to the Medicaid forecasted products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • 3 or more years’ experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, in financial/analytical roles, customer service, trade relations, or government pricing. Exposure to government pharmaceutical pricing and Medicaid programs, including Medicaid scrubbing and dispute investigation activities, is preferred. Familiarity with applicable regulations and standards (e.g., Medicaid requirements and compliance considerations) or the ability to learn them quickly is desired.
  • Must have very strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel to analyze large datasets, identify discrepancies, and support issue resolution. Knowledge of SAP platforms and government pricing systems (i.e., Model N, COGNOS) is preferred.
  • Incumbent should have a foundational understanding of government pharmaceutical pricing and Medicaid programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to review, interpret, and analyze data to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential issues within Medicaid scrubbing and dispute activities.
  • The incumbent will work as part of a team to execute assigned responsibilities, perform data analysis, and support the investigation and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, apply sound judgment, and escalate more complex issues as appropriate.
  • Strong communication skills are needed to clearly present findings and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders. This position reports to the Manager, Medicaid Scrubbing and Dispute Investigations.
