Job Description
Purpose
The Global Clinical Payments Business System Owner will be responsible for acting as the liaison between Global Clinical Payments & R&D Study Forecasting, BTS, R&D Procurement, Clinical Development Operations & Affiliates to oversee the design, deployment, training, communications, and management of Clin2Pay and other department applications. This position drives efficiency by identifying compliant system solutions and enhancements, streamlines key processes, and increases effectiveness of the system users. This person will work to ensure that all applicable systems/applications have strong data integrity ensuring accurate reporting, KPIs & Metrics.
Responsibilities
Provides strategic input and planning while coordinating with cross functional partners to ensure business requirements are well defined and approved, project plans are created, and deployment of systems/enhancements/data clean-up is coordinated with the appropriate stakeholders.
Development and delivery of training materials to support end users on system enhancements
Provides innovative solutions to improve the user experience, mitigate risks, manage competing priorities, and utilizes yearly budget effectively.
Develop strategic multi-year plans with AI-enabled components for leadership review and prioritization
Responsible for compliance with applicable function, affiliate, and corporate policies and procedures.
Oversee governance of data, KPIs, and metrics by consolidating existing dashboards and expanding Power BI data on the shared Global Clinical Payments platform in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Coaches team on process improvements and data integrity best practices to strengthen operational effectiveness and support high-quality outcomes.
Develops business relationships and coordinates activities with BTS partners, R&D Procurement, Clinical Development Operations & affiliates to ensure successful implementation.
Prepares system testing plans to confirm that requirements and system design are accurate and complete. Proactively identifies and implements process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce manual system entry.
As the business system owner for an application within a broader R&D clinical ecosystem, will need a general understanding of relevant R&D Finance and Clinical applications to identify dependencies.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, required with 5-7 years of professional experience. MBA Preferred.
Previous business system ownership and/or project management required.
A self-starting, self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership ability. Strong analytical skills, excellent planning skills and attention to detail required.
Previous experience with Salesforce preferred.
Experience in contract, budget development, negotiation, and management and familiarity with financial reporting tools is desired but not required.
