The successful candidate will be able to design technical architecture solutions that span multiple platforms and include integration and authentication across systems; articulate design considerations, trade-offs, benefits, and recommendations for technical architecture and manage the development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of highly secure solutions that are optimized for performance and built to scale.
WORK YOU’LL DO
We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to oversee the end-to-end release management process on the Salesforce platform. The Release Manager will work closely with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to plan, coordinate, and execute all release activities. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all Salesforce updates and changes are smoothly integrated and deployed across multiple environments while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Release Planning: Collaborate with project managers, product owners, developers, and Salesforce administrators to define and schedule release cycles. Develop and maintain the release calendar across multiple Salesforce environments.
- Deployment Management: Coordinate and oversee all deployments across Salesforce environments, ensuring a smooth transition from development to production. Manage sandbox and production org configurations and refresh schedules.
- Version Control: Maintain source control repositories and enforce versioning best practices. Ensure proper use of version control tools such as Git, and track all Salesforce releases and customizations.
- Change Management: Lead the change management process, including the assessment, review, and approval of changes. Ensure that all changes adhere to regulatory, security, and organizational policies.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks in the release processes and proactively mitigate them. Monitor and troubleshoot deployment issues, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve them.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate release status, schedules, and any associated risks to stakeholders. Provide post-release reporting and analysis to inform continuous improvements in release processes.
- Automation & Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve deployment automation, including implementing CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines for Salesforce. Drive process enhancements to improve the efficiency and reliability of release management.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure all releases meet governance, compliance, and audit requirements, including proper documentation and post-release assessments.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Release Manager, ideally with hands-on experience in Salesforce release management.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce platform (Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom applications) and its release cycle.
- Experience with Salesforce deployment tools such as Ant Migration Tool, Salesforce DX (SFDX), and Change Sets.
- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git and deployment automation using CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions quickly.
- Bilingual (English and French)
- English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Eligibility for Secret Security Clearance
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I).
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Copado, AutoRABIT, or other Salesforce DevOps tools.
- Experience in cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for managing integrated environments.
- Rich Experience in Salesforce Security, Encryption & Integration using REST, SOAP, Platform Event Driven Architecture. Demonstrated knowledge of XML, SQL, HTTP/HTTPS, and EAI processes. APEX, LWC, Visual Force, Omni script, AURA, LWR. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, SFDX, ANT and Eclipse tools for working with the IDE.
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect, Omni Studio, FS Cloud, Experience Cloud and other certifications.
Professional Qualifications:
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
- Desire to work in an information systems environment.
- Excellent communication (written and oral), leadership and management skills. Very strong work ethic with a customer service focus (high intensity).
