Accenture seeks an attorney with at least 7 years of broad IP experience to join our global IP group as IP counsel. You will be a trusted advisor by providing business practical IP advice across a variety of IP topics, including patents, trade secrets, copyrights and trademarks. You will also be a valuable partner by helping to develop and implement IP strategic initiatives, policies, best practices, and training.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our business groups to gain a deep understanding of key assets and strategic growth areas and develop IP strategies to protect the assets and maximize business outcomes.
• Manage and continuously evolve our patenting efforts by working with business leads and developers; identifying strategic focus areas; evaluating the patentability of inventions; and supporting patent harvesting, patent prosecution and IP operations.

• Advise and support on copyright, trademark, patent, trade secrets, intercompany IP and other IP matters across our enterprise.
• Advise and support internal stakeholders (such as business clients, corporate colleagues, and other legal colleagues) on IP issues across various industries and geographies.
• Manage and resolve complex IP issues in client, partner, joint development, and other business transactions, and collaborate closely with legal colleagues and business teams to resolve those issues.

• Develop and implement IP strategic initiatives, policies, best practices, and training.
• Support other IP projects as needed to continuously transform our IP practice to address emerging technology and evolving IP laws.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

• JD degree or equivalent degree or legal qualification.
• Admitted to the bar (or local equivalent) and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in a corporate or law firm setting.
