Product Design Lead

Years of Experience

A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience including 4+ years of digital product design leadership. A wealth of experience in leading multi-discipline teams and participating in all aspects of design (planning, UX design, UI design, design system creation)

Personal

• Lead, lean in, be creative, and have a passion for design.
• Manage design relationships with team members, partners and clients.
• Believe strategic thinking should be supported by tangible solutions that help clients to connect to their users through memorable experiences.
• Be a self-motivated leader, passionate about helping others in developing their skillsets and delivering exceptional work.

Craft

• Be a leader in UX/UI Design at both a project and studio level. Extend the craft and share practice across the studio and beyond.
• Deliver the design of new experiences and improve existing products through creative thinking, a deep understanding of the user and an exceptional eye for detail.
• Collaborate with other designers, developers and researchers on mixed methods work to bring integrated value to our clients.
• Explain, discuss and justify design decisions effectively; give design feedback.
  

Project

• Lead solving design problems end-to-end, from identifying user needs, generating concepts to defining and creating a product and crafting how people will interact with it.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end design of the experience, working in collaboration with design leadership and junior team members.
• Lead product design activities at the project level.
• Create beautiful, impactful and empathetic executions.
• Communicate design concept for digital products through various artefacts such sketches, wireframes, user flows, screen designs and interactive prototypes.
• Comfortable with hybrid working. Every project is different, but we love our team to be in the studio and in our client’s office to work collaboratively.

Client

• We work with a wide variety of clients, across different industries and sectors, however we’re currently looking for designers to work specifically on several health and government projects.
• A number of our clients require background checks. You will need to complete a Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS) to confirm your identity, criminal record, right to work and residency.
• Frame design solutions and explain rationale through compelling storytelling.
• Establish and manage client relationships.
• Create quality client deliverables.
• Support new business development efforts by providing expert information in pitch efforts and client meetings.

Community

• Nurture a new generation of talented design practitioners.
• Help to evolve the craft practice, bringing state-of-the-art methods and approaches from external and internal expertise.
• Manage and maintain team morale.
• Assess performance and provide career guidance for those in the design community.
• Support in recruitment, conducting interviews and providing feedback.
• Attend and help plan studio and community events, workshops, and conferences as an Accenture Song ambassador.
• Publish design points-of-view on behalf of Accenture Song.

Skillset

• Extensive experience in Product Design and Product Creation.
• Hybrid design experience, demonstrating that you can merge visual and interaction design skills to create unique design solutions.
• Advanced experience in translating business and customer requirements into a compelling holistic experience across different touchpoints.
• Design system creation and management.
• Expert understanding of accessibility guidelines and experience in designing to industry recognised standards.
• Advanced proficiency in design tools including Figma and Adobe CC.
• Have a great appreciation for brand, typography, colour and layout.
• High dexterity in speed and quality with the tools of your trade.
• Extensive experience in running online and offline workshops and interviews with clients and partners to validate design decisions.
• Knowledge of and curiosity about technology, translating its impact on design solutions.
• Knowledge of and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes.
• Accustomed to working collaboratively with customers and cross-functional team members.
• Proven history of delivering Product Design outcomes on time.
• Familiarity with delivery management tools such as Trello, JIRA or Asana and delivery methodologies such as Agile, DevOPs etc.
• Proven collaborative, management and teamwork skills
