Location: Manchester (must be willing to travel to client sites throughout the UK on an ad hoc basis)

Career Level: Level 8 (Associate Manager)

As a team:

  • Accountable to delivering across several key clients in Accenture including overall senior stakeholder management, project planning, release scoping, change management, monitoring & tracking the progress and manage implementation along with supporting the live proving of changes.
  • Ensuring successful delivery are identified early in the development lifecycle and avoided / mitigated; managing and support project managers with delivery across multiple business segments and customer channels.
  • Active involvement in Team/Regional Portfolio Planning sessions driving the road map of changes along with both business and technology stakeholders.
  • Experience of managing change across the software development lifecycle; delivering effective management of risk, governance, compliance and control issues within the team, ensuring all team members are aware of and adhere to their individual responsibilities in these areas.

As a Banking Technology Delivery Manager you will:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of client related projects and sub-workstreams, ensuring they are completed in accordance with project management best in class methodology and meet the highest Accenture standards.
  • Facilitate communication between client, external vendors and Accenture teams, including complex stakeholder management and clients to ensure clear understanding of scope, timelines, and status.
  • Perform as required risk management strategies to identify potential risks/issues and proactively develop mitigation plans to avoid or minimize impact.
  • Have knowledge of the market leading solution beyond the core: Payments, Originations, Servicing, Decisioning, Fraud, Collections & Recoveries, Finance and Risk Management
  • Coordinate with the other Accenture and/or client team to ensure project deliverables align with client needs and overall charter of the project.
  • Manage junior resource allocation across projects, including managing team members based on their skills and experience.
  • Establish and maintain project documentation and reporting systems to clients quality standards and assurance.
  • Proactively integrate improvements into future project and client delivery lifecycles; including process improvements within the technical delivery team to enhance project efficiency and quality.

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • Experience working in Financial Services either in an advisory, technical, operational or leadership capacity is essential
  • External recognized Project Manager certifications, including examples like PRINCE 2, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and ITIL Foundation.
  • Operating using agile methodologies including iterative progress through efficient coordination of sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Able to proactively identify and address issues that could disrupt project timelines, increase costs, or degrade the quality of client deliverables; including problem-solving approaches.
  • Ability to explain complex technical details into understandable language for programme stakeholders, managing project expectations and creating team collaboration.
  • Utilize automation tools to optimize E2E change cycle processes including implementation plans, promoting a culture of efficiency and reliability.
  • Technical mindset of how organisation system components interact from Mainframe to Cloud and ability to understand complex technical concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate throughout the E2E change lifecycle, from discovery to deployment to decommission; including fundamental components in budget planning and resource management.
