Summary: We are hiring an AI/ML Engineer with deep knowledge of Small Language Models (SLMs) to develop lightweight, efficient models optimized for real-time applications, including edge deployment and low-latency scenarios. Roles & Responsibilities: • Designing the architecture of Small Language Models (SLMs), selecting suitable model types (e.g., transformer-based), and define training datasets and evaluation benchmarks. • Collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data to ensure high-quality, task-relevant inputs for model training. • Training and fine-tuning SLMs using optimized procedures to enhance task performance while adhering to resource constraints. • Deploying SLMs into production systems, ensuring seamless integration and reliable real-time operation within target applications. • Continuously monitor model performance, identifying optimization opportunities, and implementing updates to maintain accuracy and efficiency. • Ensuring all stages of model development comply with data privacy, fairness, and security guidelines. • Staying abreast of advancements in SLM research and tooling, experimenting with emerging techniques, and contributing to innovation in the domain. Professional & Technical Skills: • Strong background in NLP, deep learning, and model compression • Proficient in PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers • Solid understanding of neural network architectures, including transformers and other relevant models, and experience with training and optimization techniques. • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on performance optimization • Handle client communication, including articulating the solution to non-technical clients. • Team player with good collaboration and communication skills Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 1-2 years working on LLM/SLM development closely - Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related technical field - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
