Ethics & Compliance is part of our CORE (Compliance, Operations, Regulatory and Ethics) group in Legal. Our professionals work closely with other Legal teams, corporate and business functions to ensure we do business in a responsible and compliant way, and help bring our values to life, every day, with a focus on building and maintaining trust of our people, clients, suppliers and partners. We identify and manage legal, business and commercial risks and provide high quality guidance and advice to our organization.
A key element of our global compliance in this evolving technology landscape is our Responsible AI Program. AI is becoming more pervasive, more powerful, and more accessible. With these new opportunities come increased risks. We work to ensure our AI is designed, built, and deployed in a manner that engenders trust and adheres to laws, regulations and ethical norms. Our Responsible AI strategy will enable us to embed responsibility into all of Accenture’s data and AI activities. We’re also developing and deploying Responsible AI solutions with our ecosystem partners. The risks of AI are real and well- known.
Accenture’s Ethics Programs team, in collaboration with the Responsible AI program, is seeking an experienced professional to join our team. The person will split their time between our Ethics Programs and our Responsible AI program.
The manager will be part of the Ethics Programs team responsible for policy oversight, with a particular focus on Avanade’s policies. The manager may also provide strategic input to other ethics programs, including Personal Conflicts of Interest and V&A Compliance.
As a manager on our team, you will report to and work closely with the Senior Manager for Global Policies Oversight to continually grow mature programs, staying on top of trends and incorporating new ideas. As Accenture’s business and strategy changes, our programs will evolve, creating new opportunities. In alignment with our Responsible AI program, the individual will also help lead process transformation activity with a particular emphasis on Avanade requirements, to help Accenture build and develop world-class RAI processes and governance.
Responsibilities include:
Proactive supervision of Accenture´s and Avanade’s global policies management sites including designing and implementing governance processes
Help develop multi-year strategy, approach, and guiding principles to evolve existing programs, incorporating data-driven analytics and technology into strategy and future projects
Build and maintain strong internal relationships; closely work with leaders across other Corporate Functions, including Human Resources, Finance, Marketing + Communication, and other Legal teams to deliver program goals
Shaping and leading projects for Responsible AI with a focus on process development and design, controls and ongoing monitoring as it relates to Avanade
Act as subject matter expert for Responsible AI within the business
Communicating and providing guidance to senior Accenture and Avanade leadership and client teams
Assessing the latest developments in data and AI policy and standards
Engaging with key AI stakeholders within the policy and regulatory space
Strong writing skills with the ability to quickly and clearly craft succinct executive briefings
Effectively work remotely with global teams, providing advice and guidance in an engaged, business-focused, and pragmatic manner
May indirectly and directly supervise other resources on the Ethics Programs team.
Presenting and positioning Accenture’s and Avanade’s point of view amongst key stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of legal, Responsible AI, or ethics and compliance experience in a large multinational firm or corporation

Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications:

Fluency in ethics programs and best practices; working knowledge of policies, codes of conduct/business ethics, ethics and compliance training, and core values/conduct-related programs

Highly motivated and proactive with curiosity for learning about ethics and compliance best practices and areas of risk

Proven ability to implement strategy and drive change

Collaborative, methodical, and strategic in approach to solving problems and evaluating risks; adapts nimbly to changing needs within the organization

Fluency in English and ability to effectively communicate with peers and executives at all levels of the organization

Consistently apply good judgment and prioritize tasks

Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York or Washington as set forth below.
