Accenture Marketing + Communications is now looking for a strong leader to provide media support for Life Sciences media, and additional support across Accenture’s business
Corporate Functions – Marketing + Communications:
Candidate will help execute Accenture’s strategy within the Life Sciences sector.
Work with a diverse team of innovative marketing, communications experts, and business leaders focused on Life Sciences.

Media lead responsibilities include:
Promoting thought leadership and client announcements.
Preparing content for speaking events.
Developing bylines.
Securing top-tier and trade media interviews with senior executives in Accenture’s Life Sciences group.

Support ad hoc projects such as:
Global events attendance.
Promotion of research, surveys, and other media opportunities across company business areas.
Your Role: Corporate Communications – Internal Agency (Life Sciences Focus):
Act as a strategic thinker to generate tier-one and top industry trade media coverage.
Support Accenture’s business objectives and priority growth in Life Sciences.
Work closely with marketing and business leads to align media activity with business priorities.
Report to North America Corporate Communications Lead and collaborate with Industries media relations lead.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute integrated communications strategies to build Accenture’s positive market image in Life Sciences.
Provide counsel to Life Sciences industry leads and teams to achieve external communications outcomes.
Focus areas include pharma/biopharma, medtech, R&D, supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial sectors.
Collaborate with marketing to develop integrated messaging and campaigns tied to client needs and industry trends.
Coordinate with global media relations for consistent global and local strategy alignment.
Manage media training for Accenture executive spokespeople.
Support Life Sciences issues management in partnership with global issues management teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally with client relationship marketing, social media, internal communications, and talent brand teams.
Build and maintain relationships with influential journalists in and beyond the Life Sciences sector.
Utilize new AI tools for earned media and content creation support.
Monitor and report media activity to local and global stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent.
Minimum 12-15 years’ experience in media relations/corporate communications (corporate or agency preferred).
Minimum 12-15 years’ experience analyzing, disseminating, and communicating complex information with clear “media-ready” messaging.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Proven ability to quickly and concisely draft a wide range of high-quality media materials (news releases, Q&As, pitches, bylined articles, op-eds).
Detailed knowledge of media relations processes; preferred knowledge of Life Sciences media (pharma/biopharma, medtech, R&D, commercial).
Familiarity and skills in social media (blogs, X, LinkedIn).
Issues management skills.
Ability to work closely with media contacts representing clients, alliance partners, vendors, and third parties.
Broad business acumen.
Strong multitasking and project management skills.
Strong sense of ownership.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Passion for delivering high-quality work that supports Accenture’s business strategy and exceeds leadership expectations.
Strong negotiation and conflict-management skills to resolve complex or disputed issues.
