Summary: We are seeking a seasoned iSeries Administrator with deep expertise in managing IBM iSeries infrastructure, high availability systems, and disaster recovery readiness. The ideal candidate will be highly independent, proactive in identifying system improvements, and experienced in supporting complex enterprise environments. This is a hands-on technical role with potential for growth into an SME position. Roles & Responsibilities: • Independently manage and administer IBM iSeries environments ensuring uptime, security, and performance. • Perform OS upgrades and patch management across production and non-production environments. • Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and lead system builds for DR tests. • Configure and support MIMIX replication for high availability and data recovery. • Administer user profiles, manage job queues, and perform system backups/restorations. • Monitor and tune system performance, analyse logs, and ensure capacity planning. • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues related to iSeries. • Work closely with development, application support, and operations teams. • Document configuration, SOPs, and contribute to automation initiatives. • Maintain compliance with audit and IT security standards. • Actively participate in team discussions, knowledge sharing, and technical reviews. • Mentor junior admins and contribute to building team capability. Professional & Technical Skills: • Strong proficiency in IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems administration • Hands-on experience with MIMIX for replication and high availability • Knowledge of OS upgrades, IPL, PTF management, and system recovery • Experience in DR drills, capacity planning, and performance optimization Additional Information: • This is a full-time role based in Pune, with flexibility based on organizational policy. • Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills are required. • Must be ready to 24*7 support. • The candidate should have minimum 4-5 years of experience in IBM iSeries. • A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
