Job Summary:
As a Telecom Networks Consultant in Accenture’s Strategy & Consulting Global Network (S&C GN) you will work with leading telecom clients to drive transformation across wireline, wireless, 5G, OSS, and cloud domains. Your role will span across network planning, deployment, operations, service fulfillment, service assurance, and inventory management. You will design network operating models, optimize processes, and enable AI and automation use cases while supporting program management, business analysis, and value realization to help clients modernize networks, improve efficiency, and accelerate digital transformation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Network consulting engagements across Wireline FTTx, OSS, and Private Network domains, ensuring alignment with client strategy and transformation goals.
- Engage with senior client stakeholders to conduct workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs for requirement gathering and business alignment to conduct capability maturity assessments
- Conduct As-Is assessments and design future-state (To-Be) process models, process improvements, process adoption using industry-standard frameworks such as eTOM, ITIL, and TM Forum.
- Translate business needs into structured process flows, functional specifications, and user stories that guide solution development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical and platform teams to define solution blueprints, identify automation opportunities, and build transformation roadmaps.
- Analyze and optimize key telecom operations such as service fulfillment, service assurance, inventory management, field force automation, and customer experience etc.
- Develop robust business cases, value driver trees, transformation KPIs, and benefit tracking frameworks to demonstrate ROI and strategic impact.
- Create high-quality client deliverables, including strategy documents, process designs, Process improvement, process adoption transformation recommendations, and operating model definitions.
- Drive PMO activities, including program governance setup, milestone tracking, risk management, and issue resolution across consulting and transformation engagements.
- Lead Target Operating Model (TOM) design, covering process, people, technology, and governance layers, and develop transformation execution roadmaps
- Contribute to the setup and execution of the Value Realization Office (VRO) by designing value frameworks, managing benefit realization tracking, defining KPIs, and building reporting dashboards. Support adoption through change management and training strategies.
- Support business development by contributing to proposal development, RFP/RFI responses, and the creation of consulting methodologies and reusable assets.
- Drive thought leadership by authoring white papers, POVs, and industry research to position the firm as a strategic partner in telecom transformation.
- Engage with global sales team to identify and win potential opportunities within the practice
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must-Have Experience in one or more:
- Network planning, rollout planning, and operations across FTTx, OSS, and B2B/B2C environments
- Mobile Private Networks (MPN) including 5G/LTE, RAN, Core, SD-WAN, WiFi6, and Edge/Cloud deployment models
- OSS transformation in areas such as Service Assurance, Service Fulfillment, Inventory Management, and NOC/SOC operations, Autonomous Operations
- Value Realization Office (VRO) including value architecting, business case development, benefit tracking, and change management
- Process transformation covering process design, improvement initiatives, adoption strategies, and target operating model (TOM) development
- Hands-on experience with ITSM and OSS tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Nokia NetAct, BMC Remedy, Netcool, and Blue Planet
- Familiarity with telecom and IT standards and frameworks such as 3GPP, ETSI, O-RAN, and TM Forum (eTOM, SID, TAM)
- Agile delivery experience, including working in sprints, backlog grooming, and user story creation using tools like Confluence and Jira
Good to Have Skills :
- Ability to visualize and document As-Is / To-Be processes using tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucid chart, or Draw.io
- Proficiency in Agile & Scrum delivery methodologies, including sprint planning and retrospectives
- Experience in data visualization and analytics using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in network operations, predictive maintenance, and automation
- Exposure to data lake architectures, data pipeline design, and integration across telemetry and OSS/BSS systems
Additional Information:
- Must have direct, client-facing consulting experience with global telecom or technology service providers.
- Experience working in complex, multi-vendor, multi-country transformation programs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to lead executive-level conversations.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams and junior consultants.
Experience: Minimum 8–15 years of relevant experience in the telecom or consulting domain
Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. (Tier 1 preferred) + MBA (Tier 1/2 preferred)
