Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as a software detective, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve analyzing system performance, troubleshooting problems, and collaborating with team members to ensure the smooth operation of applications that are vital to business functions. You will engage in problem-solving activities, utilizing your analytical skills to enhance system reliability and efficiency, while also documenting your findings and solutions for future reference. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Assist in the development and implementation of application support processes to enhance service delivery. - Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact business operations. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe. - Strong understanding of application support methodologies and best practices. - Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex software issues. - Familiarity with database management and data retrieval techniques. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe. - This position is based at our Chennai office. - A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
