Under the leadership of the Chief of Staff and Director of Strategic Initiatives, this role will provide strategic executive-level support for the CEO of AllianceBernstein and partner with members of the Operating Committee (OC). The Deputy Chief of Staff plays a critical role in enhancing the CEO’s productivity through organization and preparation for key engagements, synthesizing and prioritizing information flow, coordinating with leaders across the firm, executing follow-up, and managing an array of projects to drive critical organizational initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
Cultivate strong relationships with all Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Heads (across Investments, Distribution and Corporate functions) and other leaders across the firm to support firmwide initiatives and change management efforts
Organize and prioritize OC and executive leadership meeting content/agendas to ensure CEO and senior management are focused on meaningful and timely opportunities and risks, including meeting coordination, prepping presenters, guiding focus areas, and strategic planning
Support communication with the Board of Directors including writing quarterly and ad hoc memos, proposing and seeking consensus on Board discussion topics, preparation with presenters, documenting and owning meeting follow-ups, and facilitating engagement with Directors and senior management across the firm
Drive cross-SBU projects with an enterprise-wide mindset; identify and implement ways to improve cross-SBU collaboration
Own CEO presentation and communication content, inclusive of standing meetings with Equitable (EQH) CEO, Board Chair, and Directors, as well as internal and external speaking engagements
Manage projects requested by CEO and the executive leadership team including exploring topics of importance to the business, obtaining background information on emerging issues, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to gather information, as well as gathering resources as needed
Develop strong partnership with the Chief of Staff of EQH to seamlessly coordinate and deliver upon joint initiatives and EQH requirements, including business reviews and Board presentations
Serve as a linkage, providing connection and information flow to/from the office of the CEO to various leaders across AB and constituencies outside the firm
Partner closely with Investor Relations and Corporate Communications to drive messaging
What We’re Looking For:
2-3 years’ experience working in a similar role; 10 years in the Asset Management industry
Demonstrate a broad understanding of the industry and the firm
Exceptional process management skills; ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with senior leadership, consensus builder; highly collaborative
Proven ability to build relationships and leverage extensive contacts across AB
Highly professional, demonstrates good judgement and discretion
Diligent, strong work ethic; highly organized and detail-oriented
Intellectually curious and strength in ability to analyze and problem-solve
Adaptable to change; strong ability to navigate ambiguity; independent thinker

Salary Disclosure (Insert only if roles are to be located or posted in NY, California, Washington, Colorado,)
In accordance with applicable law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:
Base Salary Range: $150,000.00 to $200,000.00
Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards. In addition AB provides a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, sick and vacation time off
