Analysis Group is seeking an Analyst to join its Research & Knowledge Services (RKS) team, supporting both the Health Care and Antitrust practices. This role is designed for a highly analytical generalist with strong technical aptitude and a demonstrated interest in data systems, structured information management, and workflow innovation. This role offers exposure to litigation trends, business development intelligence, and practice-level strategy.
RKS partners with case teams, business functions, and firm leadership to generate intelligence that support case strategy, litigation-related research, competitive analysis and market insights. The team sits within the Marketing & Business Development (MBD) department and collaborates closely with colleagues across the firm.
The Analyst will help gather, maintain, and enhance data and information infrastructures to inform strategic decision-making across both practices. The role requires fluency and flexibility in navigating legal and internal business databases, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data, and transforming disparate inputs into structured, decision-relevant outputs.
A core expectation is active experimentation with AI and other technology tools to enhance research workflows, information extraction, and knowledge system efficiency. This position also requires intellectual curiosity, creativity, persistence in sourcing information, strong synthesis skills, and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management and Analytical Execution
- Execute directed analyses supporting the Health Care and Antitrust practices to inform business development efforts, including identifying market trends, tracking competitive positioning, and surfacing growth opportunities.
- Conduct structured research using legal and litigation databases (e.g. Lexis, CourtLink), market platforms, and internal CRM and knowledge management systems, extracting and synthesizing relevant information.
- Clean, structure, and manipulate internal and external datasets using advanced Excel, SQL, and Python. Reconcile and systematize qualitative and quantitative data from diverse sources.
- Contribute to maintaining and improving recurring trackers, data repositories, and reporting systems ensuring outputs are accurate, replicable, and well-documented.
- Develop structured datasets from varied inputs, including litigation dockets, market data, and internal records.
Reporting & Visualization
- Translate complex, incomplete, or multi-source data into clear, executive-ready outputs.
- Develop dashboards, tables, or visualizations using Excel, Python, or similar tools.
- Standardize recurring reporting formats across practice areas.
AI & Workflow Optimization
- Identify and prototype AI-enabled efficiencies in research, document review, and information extraction workflows.
- Experiment with large language models and related tools to improve tagging, summarization, and structured data generation.
- Evaluate new tools and recommend process improvements to enhance internal information retrieval and knowledge management.
Practice and Business Intelligence Support
- Support practice-level competitive intelligence and case tracking initiatives.
- Assist in preparing analytical inputs for business development and practice planning. Monitor litigation trends and market dynamics in health care, life sciences, and antitrust spaces.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-4 years of substantive relevant experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree required with a preference for degrees in economics, data science, statistics, public policy, health, or a field of study with demonstrated rigorous data analysis project work.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, PowerQuery, and structured datasets) required.
- Experience using Python for data manipulation, automation, or scripting and a working knowledge of SQL required. Demonstrated experience in mixed-methods research, with experience in qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Strong interest in AI tools and workflow optimization.
- Clear analytical reasoning and problem-solving ability.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Copilot).
- Experience with Power BI and Tableau preferred.
- Familiarity with legal or litigation databases (Lexis, CourtLink, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law) is a plus.
- Experience working within customer relationship management (CRM) or knowledge management systems preferred.
- Exposure to litigation consulting, economic consulting, or health outcomes research.
- Experience using LLM-based tools for structured information extraction or workflow automation.
- Experience of successful working relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
- An inclusive and growth-oriented mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to work across differences, building and sustaining positive relationships.
- To the extent permitted by applicable law, eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship or restriction, now and in the future.
Application: Please note, all applications require both a resume and cover letter in order to be considered complete. In the cover letter, please include a brief description of either:
