Applied Materials’ Reverse Value Chain department is searching for an intern to join our team in summer 2024! The RVC team has a primary focus of increasing repair part utilization. The RVC team works cross-functionally with key operational supporting functions within Applied Materials to drive program improvements which also entails heavy focus on data analytics development & assessments. The position will entail the following:

  • Assist with data analytics & research reviews for assessing part specific reparability which will include training & use of internal Applied Materials software applications
  • Lead / run small project management team / s associated with increasing repair part usage and assessment of parts (interfacing primarily with Engineering, Commodity Business Manager & fellow RVC team members)
  • Contribute to larger program management team for defining requirements for repair enablement process improvement
  • Support process engineering through procurement, shipping, and inventory functions

Requirements

  • Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
  • Program or project management type experience / education is optimal
  • Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred
  • Mechanical engineering experience especially related semiconductor equipment & related components preferred
  • Quick learner
  • Able to drive & contribute to team projects / programs
  • Excel & Tableau experience is preferred

Compensation

$30 - $36 per hour

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
