Applied Materials is searching for a intern to join our team in summer 2024! This position will entail the following:

• Negotiates pricing and other terms of purchase under supervision. Quotes materials; procures materials, components, equipment and services at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. Expedites and ensures the timely receipt of materials.
• Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.
• Works with engineering and MPM or SCM to recommend new suppliers. Follows-up on orders, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. Follows purchasing business processes.
• Reviews MRP on a regular basis; executes and cancels pull ins, push outs and planner orders as prioritized.

Requirements

• Student must be pursuing a bachelor's degree program in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field
• Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Compensation

$24 per hour

The rate offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
