Applied Materials
The Senior manager of Global Security – China, leads a country security team that manage the development, oversight and execution of Security programs and initiatives for Applied Material’s regional security function. This role requires a unique combination of security/safety expertise coupled with deep program management and strategic initiatives development experience.
The position will be the primary liaison for internal and external interactions associated with Global Security matters for Applied Materials China focusing on protection of employes/company IP and securing Applied Materials workplaces.
Key Responsibilities
Protect Employees, intellectual property and physical assets. Development of Applied Materials Security & Business Resiliency Program and related capabilities implementation around Federal Programs, guard force services deployment, investigations, events security, emergency preparedness, and managing workplace violence prevention initiatives Ensure standard operating procedures exist and are implemented at all sites consistent with Applied Materials’ Security standards. Budget/results accountability for assigned projects, programs, and initiatives. Manage end to end guard force services deployment in assigned region. Ensure that support staffing meets site specific needs, while applying a “value-based” approach Develop and manage KPIs & SLAs with strategic vendors in areas of responsibility. Work cross-functionally to develop and implement security awareness and training programs. Conduct/support Customs & IP audit to suppliers and self-assessment to AMAT warehouse & manufacturing per request. Other strategic initiatives /projects as needed.
Leadership Skills Required
Must have 100% credibility, objectivity, and respect across all parts of the business. Strategic program development. Security Program Development. Ability to identify risk and define mitigation measures with a proactive mindset. Build relationships with key stakeholders, business leaders and the team members. Promote the Security function as subject a matter expert within Applied Materials. Ability to collaborate with other service functions (GWI (Facilities), business units, GIS (IT), HR, Finance, Legal). Willingness to challenge status quo, innovate, and introduce new ideas. Understanding of differences in standards across geographies and cultures.
Experience
10+ years in a similar role within a multi-national corporate security team Former corporate security / law enforcement / military experience highly desired Experience working within a Chinese management and global matrix structure will be well regarded. Experience in program management / Security planning & initiatives. Expertise in strategic planning & initiatives CPP or similar certification preferred. Proficiency in both in Mandarin Chinese & English is required (Written and verbal)
