We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in Electro-Mechanical design and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. We value innovative thinkers who can challenge conventional practices and drive progress.

About Our Group: The Hardware R&D department is responsible for developing all Applied Materials PDC machines that perform optical and electron microscopy. Our tools are essential for inspecting semiconductor wafers during the microchip fabrication process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design of electronic switchboards and power distribution units:
Structural elements and sheet metal design; Placement of electric components; Cooling systems; Design for a cleanroom environment
- Create detailed drawings, define fabrication processes, materials, and finish standards with comprehensive GD&T, and perform complex tolerance analyses.
- Plan and execute experiments to validate designs.
- Lead the mechanical aspects of the development process, present design reviews, and work closely with multiple groups across the organization, including project management, product manufacturing, field support, and suppliers.
- Manage projects using external electronics and electricity development companies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of proven experience in designing mechanical components for electrical systems, particularly switchboards and power distribution units.
- Proficiency in CAD software; experience with SolidWorks and Inventor is an advantage.
- Experience with CAE software for structural, and thermal analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant UL and NEMA safety standards.
- Expertise in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with fast-paced projects requiring innovative thinking.
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and quick learner, with eagerness to learn and explore new topics.
- Work planning experience, organized, target oriented.
- Able to run multiple projects in parallel, in house or through subcontractors.
- High presentation skills and fluency in English.
