We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Integration Engineer to join our Photonics Platform Business Group. In this role, you will enable the transition of advanced optical device technologies from R&D into scalable manufacturing. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to define, develop, and optimize process flows for cutting-edge semiconductor and photonics devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end process integration for advanced semiconductor device fabrication.
  • Define and optimize process flows to achieve performance, yield, and reliability targets.
  • Collaborate with module owners (lithography, etch, deposition, metrology, etc.) to align process development with integration requirements.
  • Conduct design-of-experiments (DOE) to identify process sensitivities and improve manufacturability.
  • Analyze optical test data to provide feedback for process tuning and device improvement.
  • Collaborate with design, process, and operations teams to ensure smooth technology transfer into volume manufacturing.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and drive root-cause analysis for process-related failures.
  • Support technology roadmaps by contributing to process integration strategy and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement process integration methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and industry trends in process integration to drive innovation.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Work experience of at least 5 years. Proven experience (>3 years) in process integration, preferably R&D within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of nanotechnology processes, including lithography, etch, deposition, CMP and metrology.
  • Proficient in statistical data analysis and process optimization and control techniques (e.g., Design of Experiments, SPC, JMP).
  • Ability to read and understand layout files (industry-standard such as GDS and OASIS) and familiarity optical proximity correction (OPC) methodologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of optics principles and photonic components and systems is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in semiconductor manufacturing, such as ISO, SEMI, and ITAR regulations, and Project management skills are a plus.
