TEAM OVERVIEW:
Applied Global Services internal consulting team is searching for interns to join our team in summer 2026! Interns will work in the Industrial Engineers, Business Intelligence Analyst, Field Service Engineers, and Technical Training teams. Industrial Engineering consultants lead strategic projects to streamline business processes, improve supply chain and operations, reduce costs, and improve business performance. The team is responsible project life cycle to start with analysis of the as-is process, identify and quantify opportunities, develop improvement streams, secure buy-in from stakeholders, and drive implementation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Structure and break down complex business problems, develop hypothesis, drive analysis and deliver recommendations in a data-driven manner
- Lead thoughtful and rigorous analysis across large data sets and synthesize insights and opportunities
- Develop and present high-quality recommendations and deliverables for executive level consumption and contribute to associated strategy and execution discussions
- Work collaboratively across a cross-functional set of stakeholders to gather the right information, pressure test your hypothesis, co-create deliverables, accelerate execution and unlock value
- Optimize operations and business processes to improve performance, reduce cycle time, and shrink costs
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Data Analytics: Tableau, Power BI, Python, SQL, Excel VBA Scripting, Microsoft Office
IE skills: Operations Management, Cost Reduction, Scheduling, Program management, Lean Manufacturing, Productivity Improvements
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
- Student must be pursuing a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Computer Science or Data Science or Business Management or a related major
- Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale preferred
- Strong analytical skills – able to extract real insight from multiple data sources
- Ability to problem-solve creatively and analytically
- Able to work effectively in a matrix environment and influence others
- Data analytics skills (PowerBI, Tableau, Advanced Excel, Python, working with multiple data sets)
- Detail oriented, able to connect the dots and communicate complex ideas effectively
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma
- Desire for continuous learning and improvement
- Flexible and adaptable mindset who thrives in a results-driven culture
- Excellent listening, writing, quantitative, qualitative, and oral communication skills

YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
