Physical Security Technologist (CCure 9000 Specialist)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Technologist to support the administration, deployment, integration, and optimization of enterprise physical security systems, with a primary focus on Software House CCure 9000 Access Control System. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing access control infrastructure, integrating security technologies, supporting daily operations, and driving continuous improvements across the organization's physical security environment.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control Administration

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Software House CCure 9000 access control systems.

  • Manage cardholder databases, access levels, schedules, clearances, and security policies.

  • Configure and maintain controllers, readers, door hardware, input/output devices, and associated access control components.

  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and perform corrective maintenance.

  • Support badge management processes, credential lifecycle management, and visitor access workflows.

Security Systems Integration

  • Integrate CCure 9000 with video management systems, intrusion detection systems, visitor management platforms, and other security technologies.

  • Support event monitoring, alarm management, and automated response workflows.

  • Coordinate testing and validation of integrated security solutions.

  • Assist in evaluating and implementing new physical security technologies.

Security Operations Support

  • Investigate and resolve access control incidents and system outages.

  • Support security investigations through access event reporting, audit logs, and system analysis.

  • Perform routine system audits to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain operational procedures and support documentation.

Infrastructure & Technical Support

  • Collaborate with IT teams to support network connectivity, server infrastructure, cybersecurity requirements, and system performance.

  • Troubleshoot IP-based security devices, controllers, workstations, and supporting hardware.

  • Coordinate software upgrades, patch management, and firmware updates.

  • Maintain system backups, disaster recovery processes, and business continuity plans.

Project Implementation

  • Participate in construction, renovation, and security enhancement projects.

  • Coordinate installation activities with integrators, contractors, and vendors.

  • Conduct system commissioning, acceptance testing, and turnover activities.

  • Review security design documents, drawings, and technical specifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Security Systems, Engineering, Criminal Justice, or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise physical security systems.

  • Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Software House CCure 9000.

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Access control systems

    • Security hardware and field devices

    • IP networking fundamentals

    • Physical security operations

  • Experience supporting enterprise-level security environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with:

    • Software House iSTAR controllers

    • C•CURE Client and Monitoring Station

    • Victor Video Management System

    • Genetec Security Center

    • LenelS2 OnGuard

    • Milestone XProtect

  • Experience supporting highly regulated or critical infrastructure environments.

  • Familiarity with identity management and logical/physical access integration.

  • Project management or system implementation experience.

Work Environment

  • Ability to travel between office and campus locations as required.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours maintenance activities.

  • Ability to lift and handle physical security equipment up to 40 lbs.

  • Work closely with Security Operations, Facilities, IT, and construction project teams.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
