Position Summary
The AWMS Transformation, Innovation and Data Analytics Team is looking for a Business Analyst supporting Ares Wealth Management Solutions (AWMS). In this role, your duties will include working directly with WMS team members within sales, marketing, and client services gathering detailed requirements, performing data analysis, documenting processes, performing acceptance testing, and coordinating with IT to deliver solutions. To succeed in this role you should excel at breaking down problems into actionable steps and be able to explain difficult concepts to technical or non-technical audiences.
A successful candidate for this role will possess a sound understanding of sales, marketing, and client services within asset management, strong communication skills, attention to detail and a self-starting attitude.
Primary Functions and Essential Responsibilities
- Engage with AWMS stakeholders across business lines including Sales, Marketing, Client Services, AREX (Ares Real Estate Exchange) and Strategy Teams to evaluate their requirements and current challenges, clarify and document business requirements, and help design customized solutions
- Manage the quality of the sales accounts, contacts, and other data within the CRM
- Evaluate and coordinate the implementation of solutions and provide training and support
- Collaborate with the team members to provide support for new initiatives, including cross-team workstreams
- Provide best-practice guidance to the business stakeholders and internal team. Identify opportunities to improve business processes and achieve operational efficiencies
- Establish strong working relationships with the business and technology teams to facilitate adoption and support of technical solutions
- Engage and actively participate in the sprint and release planning discussions; Drive efforts to support QA/UAT, user training, and change management throughout all the planned iterations
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance or equivalent experience in Asset Management industry
- Salesforce Administrator certification or experience a plus
Experience Required
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Financial Services wealth or asset management
- Experience working in Salesforce and other sales enablement technologies (e.g. Allego, Seismic, Pardot/Account Engagement)
- Experience supporting stakeholders across seniority levels and able to effectively maintain communication across projects and support requests
- Working knowledge of asset management business domain including processes and data - firm/office/rep and transaction data
- Prior experience with alternative asset management is preferred, broader asset management experience is required
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies – Scrum, Kanban
- Experience with Alteryx is a plus

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$140,000 - $160,000
