Position Overview
Ares Management emphasizes a culture built on collaboration, accountability, innovation, and stewardship. This critical role within the Multifamily Asset Management Team, owns internal reporting for the national Multifamily portfolio, aligning analytical standards, and delivering executive-ready insights to internal stakeholders and external investment partners.
Essential Duties
Portfolio Reporting & Executive Insights
- Manage monthly operating report (MOR) and quarterly performance report (QPR) cycles delivering financial and operational insights for leadership and partners.
- Standardize reporting frameworks across assets, ownership groups, and funds.
- Own and ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
- In collaboration with Asset Managers and Regional Analysts, lead the aggregation of executive level commentary to inform strategic decisions and drive performance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders; identify and articulate trends, themes, and takeaways to inform decision making across adjacent teams, including Investments, Portfolio Management and Due Diligence as well as senior leadership.
Operational & Financial Performance Management
- Develop, enhance, and maintain unified reporting across property management systems (PMS), accounting, and market data sources.
- Consolidate, analyze and present Financial KPIs: revenue, expenses, NOI with GL detail.
- Consolidate, analyze and present Operational KPIs: leasing trends, rent trends, and capital/business plan execution.
- Partner with Asset Management on benchmarking, forecasting, budgeting, and portfolio-wide variance analysis.
- Collaborate and share insights with internal stakeholders noted above.
Data Quality & Platform Evolution
- Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboard and data pipelines across BI platforms, with an emphasis on real time reporting and data availability.
- Advance automation to improve cycle time and reliability.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency.
Stakeholder Engagement (Internal & External)
- Serve as the analytics liaison to support internal teams and leadership.
- Present portfolio performance and key findings to executive forums and ownership groups.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 10+ years in multifamily analytics, asset management reporting, or BI/systems leadership.
- Demonstrated success managing enterprise reporting cycles and executive stakeholder communications.
- Advanced proficiency with Power BI, DAX/Power Query, SQL, Excel.
- Familiarity with market analytics platforms and property operating systems.
- Experience within a vertically integrated real estate investment platform.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
