Job Description

Primary functions & responsibilities

  • Support the expense accounting process, including preparation of analyses and schedules to track expense trends and variances.
  • Assist in monthly close activities for domestic and international entities, including preparation and posting of journal entries and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Support reconciliations related to accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred rent, intangible assets, goodwill, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with expense and non‑operating income allocations, foreign currency revaluation support, and related close analyses.
  • Support the debt roll‑forward process by preparing schedules and reconciling balances to source documentation.
  • Fixed Assets Accounting:
    • Support the full fixed asset lifecycle, including processing subledger additions, retirements, and transfers.
    • Prepare monthly and ad‑hoc journal entries, A/P voucher corrections, and fixed asset account reconciliations.
    • Assist in preparing support schedules and analyses related to capitalized costs.
  • Assist with quarterly analysis and forecast reports, including reviewing quarterly leadsheets and forecast analysis prepared by team members.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as fund accounting teams, business partners, and shared service teams to validate coding, allocations, and accounting treatments.
  • Assist with audit requests and queries by preparing supporting schedules, documentation, and responses.
  • Assist with intercompany transactions, including preparation and posting of offsetting entries and intercompany invoices.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, documentation, and ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable accounting standards.

qualifications

Education:

  • Chartered Accountant with post-qualification experience of 3 to 6 years or equivalent financial degrees, looking for relevant experience.

Experience Required:

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge- BS, expenses, accruals, reconciliations, MIS reporting, allocations, inter-company transactions
  • Financial services/ asset management organization experience is good to have
  • Strong analysis and understanding of financial statements required
  • US GAAP knowledge will be preferred
  • Good knowledge of Oracle will be preferred

General Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and e-mail writing skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, OneStream, TrinTech, Power BI a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail but can still see big picture.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in identifying problems and developing effective solutions.
