Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud, Platform, & Application Security
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments for new and existing platforms.
- Ensure systems align with applicable regulatory, industry, and internal security standards.
- Develop secure reference architectures and reusable security guardrails for engineering teams.
AI, Automation, & Emerging Technology Security
- Support security controls for AI/ML workloads, model pipelines, and AI‑enabled applications.
- Partner with stakeholders to promote secure, responsible, and compliant use of emerging technologies.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks introduced by new platforms and tooling.
SevDevOps & Security Automation
- Embed secure‑by‑default controls into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
- Automate vulnerability management, compliance checks, policy enforcement, and monitoring.
- Integrate security telemetry to enable continuous assurance and incident readiness.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, data, enterprise architecture, legal, and compliance teams.
- Act as a bridge between security, engineering, and operations, balancing speed, stability, and risk.
- Clearly communicate security guidance to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Leadership & Influence
- Promote a culture of secure‑by‑design engineering and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance on cloud security patterns, automation strategies, and emerging threat areas.
- Mentor peers and project teams in modern security engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience in cybersecurity engineering, cloud security, or related disciplines (experience may be gained through traditional or nontraditional paths).
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms and cloud‑native security concepts.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable security controls or architectures.
- Familiarity with SecDevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and security automation.
- Strong understanding of secure system architecture, availability, performance, and resilience.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience securing AI/ML or data‑driven platforms.
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes, or cloud‑native security services.
- Experience working with infrastructure‑as‑code and automated policy enforcement.
- Security or cloud certifications are valued but not required.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

Reporting Relationships
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
