Job Description
Reports to: Head of M&A Technology
Primary functions and essential responsibilities:
Application Assessment & Rationalization
- Perform detailed application assessments as part of M&A due diligence and ongoing application strategy initiatives.
- Analyze overlapping systems, functional capabilities, and technical architectures to support rationalization and consolidation decisions.
- Evaluate application usage, business criticality, and operational dependencies to inform target-state recommendations.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand functional workflows, system usage, and pain points.
Integration Analysis & Execution Support
- Map application ecosystems, including integrations, data flows, and upstream/downstream dependencies.
- Support application onboarding and integration activities across M&A transactions, working closely with engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Participate in solution design discussions, providing input on integration approaches, data movement, and system alignment.
- Assist in planning and coordinating application migration and integration activities.
Data & Systems Analysis
- Act as a system and data analyst to support data mapping, migration planning, and validation activities.
- Analyze data flows across applications, identifying transformation logic, dependencies, and reconciliation requirements.
- Support validation efforts during integration and migration phases to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Application Strategy & Architecture Support
- Partner closely with M&A Integration Program Managers to align technical design with program plans, timelines, and dependencies.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Application/Data teams to ensure integrations meet enterprise standards for security, resiliency, and compliance.
- Communicate technical concepts, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to governance forums by providing architectural input and recommendations.
Stakeholder Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate effectively across cross-functional teams, including Technology, Corporate Strategy, and Business stakeholders, as well as vendor partners, to support application integration and rationalization efforts.
- Prepare analysis materials, insights, and recommendations for Technology leadership, translating complex application landscapes into clear, actionable outputs.
- Maintain structured documentation of application landscapes, integration patterns, and system dependencies to support integration planning and rationalization decisions.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience Required
- 8+ years of enterprise technology experience across application support, systems analysis, or application-focused roles.
- Experience within financial services, with exposure to asset management or similar regulated environments preferred (4+ years).
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise application landscapes, including ERP, CRM, data platforms, and domain-specific systems.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing application integrations, data flows, and system dependencies within complex enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting application integration efforts, including understanding of APIs, middleware, and file-based interfaces.
- Working knowledge of authentication and access models, including SSO and identity/access management fundamentals.
- Experience working with SaaS platforms and vendor-managed systems.
- Exposure to M&A integration activities, system migrations, or large-scale technology transformations is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with application inventory and CMDB tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Experience analyzing data flows and supporting data validation using SQL and/or Python.
- Working knowledge of API-based integrations and enterprise integration patterns.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, documentation, and communication.

Reporting Relationships
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$145,000 - $170,000
