Job Description
The Associate Vice President, Talent Development Operations is responsible for the execution, logistics, systems, and delivery that power the Talent Development (TD) function. This role ensures that learning programs run smoothly, efficiently, and consistently at scale—building and maintaining the operational “engine” that enables high‑quality learner experiences.
This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, highly dynamic Human Resources team that is constantly innovating and striving to positively impact the people of Ares. The AVP will lead process enablement, systems administration, program delivery logistics, vendor governance, and operational insights. This role ensures our learning programs run smoothly, efficiently, and consistently at scale. This individual is a builder, problem solver, and operational strategist with deep experience in learning technologies, process design, and service delivery.

Reports to: Principal, Talent Development
Operational Leadership
Lead, develop, and mentor the Learning Operations team to deliver high‑quality, scalable support for all Talent Development initiatives.
Establish and continuously improve standardized operating procedures, processes, and templates to ensure consistency and operational excellence.
Drive seamless end‑to‑end execution across all Talent Development programs and workflows
Learning Support & Logistics
Oversee all aspects of learner support, facilitator coordination, and logistical readiness for both in-person and virtual learning experiences.
Manage scheduling, invitations, room and platform bookings, AV needs, and delivery materials to ensure flawless program execution.
Continuously assess and enhance support quality using participant feedback, operational data, and performance metrics.
Learning Systems (LMS)
Lead the administration, and governance of the Learning Management System, including course setup, assignments, data integrity, permissions, and system integrations.
Monitor attendance, completions, and post‑program evaluation results to ensure data accuracy and meaningful insights.
Maintain strong data governance practices and ensure reliable, high‑quality reporting.
Program & Compliance Administration
Oversee enrollment management, learner communications, waitlist processes, and enterprise training calendars.
Ensure proper administration and tracking of all compliance and required learning programs.
Govern the Education Reimbursement Program, ensuring policy adherence and operational efficiency.
Vendor & Budget Oversight
Manage vendor relationships, onboarding, contracts, procurement activities, and invoicing processes.
Track training budgets and partner closely with Finance, Legal, IT, and Procurement to support fiscal and operational alignment.
Reporting & Insights
Deliver accurate, timely dashboards and analytics on learning utilization, adoption, performance, and compliance.
Ensure operational data is consistent, reliable, and actionable to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience Required:
8+ years of experience in learning operations, HR operations, talent development, or related fields.
Required experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS), including required experience with Workday Learning.
Strong operational leadership with proven ability to scale systems, processes, and support models.
Excellent project and program management skills.
Experience managing vendors, contracts, and budgets.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into insights.
A builder mindset with a passion for operational excellence.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite – particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$145,000-$185,000
