Job Description

Ares is a publicly traded, global alternative investment manager with approximately $596 billion of assets under management, with over 4,200 employees as of 30th September 2025. The Ares Real Assets group comprises over $109.5 billion of real assets under management across over 555 investments globally with over 700 investment professionals operating from over 44 offices globally (as of 30th September 2025).

Ares is looking to invite qualified candidates to interview for a role as an Analyst with the Ares European Real Estate Equity team. The Analyst will be responsible for helping to evaluate, execute and manage a wide variety of equity investment opportunities, covering all UK and European sectors and geographies. The Analyst will be fully involved in all aspects of the investment process, with particular focus on financial modelling, preparation of investment committee materials and investment recommendations, market research, the management of new and existing investments, and interactions with investors.

Primary functions and essential responsibilities

The Analyst will be an important member of the team and will work closely with senior investment professionals. Key job functions include:

  • Collaborate on a small deal team to analyse and execute real estate equity investments;

  • Communicate with and report to all levels, from Associate to Partners;

  • Perform extensive financial modelling;

  • Prepare investment committee materials;

  • Develop and maintain research on certain geographic markets, property types and/or sectors;

  • Participate in all aspects of investment transactions, as requested by team members:

    • Deal screening and financial modelling;

    • Support in formulating investment recommendations, including involvement in the preparation of investment committee and other investor materials (memos, responses to investor requests, ad hoc analysis);

    • Due diligence on new transactions;

    • Strategic oversight, monitoring, reporting and management of new and existing investments

    • Interaction with counterparties, lenders, investors, lawyers, consultants and various other advisors and deal participants

Qualifications

Education:

  • University Degree with strong performance from a top undergraduate institution

Experience Required:

  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, real estate private equity, or real estate advisory (focused on private equity)

  • Strong financial analysis, modelling and valuation skills

  • Writing, communication and presentation skills. Able to summarize thoughts concisely and effectively communicate both internally and externally

  • Experience in evaluating real estate equity investments and relevant transactional experience

  • Expert in Excel and Powerpoint; familiar with and able to use AI to support process efficiencies and investment decisions

  • Talent for managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to quickly and efficiently perform tasks, maintaining a focus on details

  • Ability to perform market and comps analysis and engage with site tours, brokers and market experts

  • Ability to assess qualitative and quantitative characteristics of properties and/or investments
