An exciting opportunity is now available to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join the team supporting the EIMEA Region, reporting into the Financial Accounting Senior Manager (EIMEA).

Based in the London, the role is for an Assistant Accountant to be involved in day to day team activities for the annual financial audit. The Assistant Accountant will support the team using the finance systems to extract data for review and inclusion in the financial statements.


The Opportunity

  • Assisting the regional team with the calculation of year end adjustments and information for statutory disclosures (including job accruals, ECL provisions, IFRS 16 and 15 working files etc.);
  • Assisting in the setup of work in progress files for calculations for the Arup Group consolidated financial statements;
  • Assisting in the preparation of small UK registered company financial statements under FRS 101;
  • Liaising with auditors on UK company financial statement audits;
  • Producing and recording adjustment journals in the accounting system; and
  • Assisting the team with ad-hoc duties.

Is this role right for you?

  • Part qualified accountant actively working towards a professional accountancy qualification;
  • Proactive positive attitude;
  • Able to work well on own and as part of a team;
  • Has the ability to work under pressure and to meet strict reporting deadlines;
  • Be computer literate and demonstrates strong knowledge of excel, JDE experience is useful but not essential;
  • Have excellent attention to detail and deliver results to a high degree of accuracy;
  • Be able to use their initiative; and
  • Have strong organisational skills
