We are seeking a Civil Design Engineer – Hydrology and Hydraulics to join our Infrastructure, Transportation and Civils Team in Manila. This role blends water resources engineering, drainage design, and integrated civil engineering leadership across a diverse range of major projects.

The Opportunity

As a Civil Design Engineer – H&H, you will provide technical leadership and support for master planning, technical due diligence, feasibility studies, and both preliminary and detailed engineering design. Your focus will be on hydrology, hydraulics analysis, water resources engineering, environmental civil design, and stormwater/drainage systems.

You will also contribute to site‑wide layouts, grading design, utility distribution systems, and multi‑disciplinary coordination to support complex site development projects.

Your Role in Our Team

  • Lead preparation of Hydrological and Flooding Reports, including detailed hydrological and flooding analysis. [2026-01-19...rainage JD | PDF]
  • Conduct pre‑ and post‑development drainage calculations for compliance and performance evaluation.
  • Design culverts, channels, detention/retention systems, and outlet structures.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permitting, coastal zone management, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in delivering a wide range of infrastructure projects (roads, rail, utilities, water, energy, large site developments), including:
    Natural terrain and site condition assessments
    Development of site grading, earthworks, and road grading plans
    Road network and site‑wide drainage, sewerage, potable water, and firewater system design
    Utility corridor layouts (fiber, telecoms, electrical, etc.)
    Pavement design (rigid and flexible) per AASHTO, FHWA, DPWH, and other standards
    Providing engineering information on road routes, alignments, and structure locations
  • Produce civil drawings and provide technical documentation support.
  • Lead a small team of engineers and technicians; manage resources to ensure timely delivery.
  • Participate in or lead project meetings with clients and stakeholders.

  • Conduct site visits, coordinate with other disciplines, and report progress to the Project Manager.
  • Support master planning, concept development, detailed design, technical due diligence, and site development engineering.


Is This Role Right for You?

  • Licensed Civil Engineer or Environmental & Sanitary Engineer; postgraduate studies (MSc/PhD in Civil Engineering) an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in general civil engineering with specialization in hydrology, hydraulics, and drainage systems.
  • Strong capability in preparing high‑quality H&H reports and clear technical presentations.
  • Experience across:
    Linear infrastructure (roads, highways, bridges, railways)
    Water projects (Stormwater, WTP, WWTP, STP, pipelines, sewer networks)
    Energy (solar, wind, hydropower, AC/DC substations, transmission)
    Marine and coastal infrastructure
    Large‑scale site development (airports, reclamation, industrial parks, communities, developments)
  • Practical working knowledge of:
    AASHTO, FHWA, DPWH (DGCS, Blue Book) and other international standards
    AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D, OpenRoads, ArcGIS
    HecRAS/HMS, Water/SewerGEMS, InfoWorks‑ICM
  • Strong visualization, dashboarding, and data presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
