As a Transmission & Distribution Engineer at Arup Malaysia, you will support the delivery of key power infrastructure projects under the guidance of Senior engineers. You will also contribute to technical modelling, analysis and reporting while gaining exposure to multidisciplinary project teams across Arup. Additionally, you’ll help coordinate project tasks, prepare technical inputs, and support bids and proposals, building foundational skills as you grow your capability in T&D Engineering.
The Opportunity
• Support the design and documentation of T&D infrastructure by contributing to drawings, calculations, models, and reports under supervision
• Assist with project coordination tasks, such as preparing design inputs, updating schedules, organizing technical information, and support quality checks across project phases
• Contribute to technical studies and analysis, including power systems modelling, grid connection inputs, and compliance assessments, guided by Senior engineers
• Engage with internal project teams to support multidisciplinary collaboration and develop broader technical capability within T&D
• Support bid preparation and business development activities by creating capability materials, gathering technical data, and assisting with proposal inputs where required

Is this role right for you?
• A recognised tertiary qualification in Transmission & Distribution Engineering with a Malaysian Registered Professional Engineering certification preferred
• Proven ability to contribute to design and technical tasks including calculations, drawings, modelling, and documentation
• Ability to assist in power system studies, compliance checks and technical assessments
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to take direction from senior colleagues while contributing effectively to project delivery
• Willingness to learn industry standards, tools and software, including using initiative and developing skills in power system modelling, design platforms and Arups internal processes to support high-quality project delivery
