Join Arup’s dynamic Victorian water team, where you will deliver innovative water and wastewater process engineering solutions. You’ll play a key role in project delivery, mentor junior staff, lead internal research, and help grow our business through strategic pursuits and client engagement. This role provides opportunities to work across local, national, and APAC projects with a strong focus on sustainability and technical excellence.

The Opportunity

  • Deliver civil/ water engineering for water and wastewater projects across planning, design, and implementation phases.
  • Collaborate with experienced multi-disciplinary water leads and contribute to projects in Victoria, other Australian states, and the broader APAC region.
  • Support, guide and mentor junior team members, sharing technical expertise and modelling Arup’s values.
  • Lead internal research initiatives aligned with personal and business interests to drive innovation and social value.
  • Contribute to business development through bidding, client engagement, and strategic market pursuits.

Is this role right for you?

  • Recognised qualifications in civil/environmental engineering and professional membership (or working toward chartership).
  • Proven experience in delivering masterplans, concept/detailed design of water/wastewater infrastructure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to adapt and engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion for sustainable water solutions, a growth mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Advanced civil/water/pipeline engineering and project management capabilities, including cost, risk, and stakeholder management.
