The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Istanbul/Ankara office and play a key role in strengthening our Electrical team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of local and international projects, working alongside multidisciplinary teams on complex and high‑impact work.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Arup, you will:

• Delivering electrical building services design across a range of complex and multidisciplinary projects, from concept through to detailed design.

• Collaborating closely with architects, engineers from other disciplines, and project managers to achieve integrated, sustainable design outcomes.

• Leading and managing the production of technical drawings and design documentation, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with Arup standards.

• Coordinating and reviewing the work of team members, while working seamlessly with other disciplines to deliver coordinated project outputs.

• Engaging directly with clients, attending meetings and workshops to understand their needs, provide technical advice, and contribute to trusted client relationships.

• A strong passion for delivering prestigious projects in Türkiye and internationally, with a collaborative, professional mindset.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred) from a reputable university.

• 10+ years’ experience in electrical design, including medium to large‑scale and/or complex projects.

• Proven expertise in data centres and industrial projects (strongly preferred).

• Demonstrated ability to lead electrical teams, deliver complex engineering solutions, and balance competing project priorities.

• Excellent communication, client‑relationship, planning and organisational skills, with fluency in English and the ability to perform under pressure.
