The Opportunity
Work on projects that will have a real impact on the future.
Develop your expertise in biodiversity and nature-based solutions while supporting projects that address climate change and biodiversity loss.
As a Biodiversity Analyst at Arup, you will:
Contribute to preparation of study, concept and design documentation for Polish and international projects.
Participate in biodiversity inventories, field surveys and habitat mapping.
Support environmental impact assessments (EIA) and screening/scoping documentation.
Contribute to assessments for Natura 2000 sites and protected species.
Support development of mitigation measures, incl. compensation and biodiversity enhancement.
Prepare technical reports, drawings and biodiversity-related documentation.
Assist in development of NbS and biodiversity strategies based on No Net Loss / Net Gain principle.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate biodiversity into project design.

We’re looking for someone who believes it is possible to achieve sustainable development while protecting and enhancing the natural environment.
We also value:
Around three to five years of professional experience in biodiversity, ecology or environmental consulting.
Degree in biology, environmental protection, forestry, or a related field.
Good knowledge of Polish environmental legislation, including EIA procedures, Nature Conservation Act and Natura 2000 requirements.
Familiarity with protected species regulations and permitting processes.
Good understanding of terrestrial and/or aquatic ecosystems.
Ability to analyse ecological data and translate findings into practical design inputs.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
People who are proactive and open to sharing ideas.
Interest in digital tools, GIS and innovative approaches.
Good level of English in speech and writing; knowledge of German would be an additional benefit.
