The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Advisory Consultant to join our aviation advisory practice, bringing deep expertise in programme and project delivery, airport operations, and change management. This role requires a strong blend of operational knowledge, stakeholder management, and delivery rigour to support airports and aviation clients through complex infrastructure and operational transformation programmes.
The successful candidate will manage advisory assignments involving capital programmes and operational change initiatives, working closely with airport operators, airlines, and regulatory stakeholders to deliver measurable improvements in capacity, performance, and passenger experience. You will have the ability to deliver programme and project management across capital programmes ranging from £50M to £500M+, including business case development, procurement support, and gateway reviews.
You will be required to apply deep knowledge of airport terminal operations, passenger processing, and airside operations to inform advisory recommendations. Managing relationships with diverse stakeholders including airport operators, airlines, regulators (CAA, DfT), and senior leadership teams. You will also support baggage handling system assessments, including performance evaluation, capacity analysis, and improvement opportunity identification.

Is this role right for you?
You will have extensive experience in aviation operations, airport programme delivery, or related consulting/advisory roles with a track record of delivering complex capital programmes and operational change initiatives within airport environments. You will have a background in portfolio management, governance, and financial tracking across multi-project environments. This role offers the opportunity to shape the delivery of major aviation infrastructure and operational programmes while working on some of the industry’s most complex and high-profile challenges.
Requirements:
We are seeking an individual with direct experience of airport terminal operations, baggage systems, security programmes, or passenger processing, with the following skills and attributes:
BSc level qualification and professional project or programme management accreditation (e.g. APMP, MoP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
Strong programme and project management capabilities with a structured, delivery-focused approach.
Commercial acumen including budget management, procurement, supplier negotiation, and benefits tracking.
Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced, operationally demanding environments including disruption scenarios.
Collaborative approach with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
