Senior Geotechnical Engineer (New York, New York)
Review geotechnical design and analysis for deep and shallow foundations, earthworks, retaining walls, excavations, and underground structures, including geotechnical design reports, design drawings and technical specifications;
Perform geotechnical design and analysis for deep and shallow foundations, earthworks, retaining walls, excavations, and underground structures, including geotechnical design reports, design drawings and technical specifications;
Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams in the design of geotechnical elements for buildings and infrastructure projects, including residential and commercial buildings, bridges, highways, railways and airports;
Handle bid proposals for geotechnical engineering, including methods, technical approach and cost estimates;
Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships;
Work with senior staff to assist with business development activities and the preparation of bid proposals;
Drive geotechnical engineering design projects, from early concept to detailed design and construction;
Coach geotechnical engineering staff;
Handle subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, and geotechnical instrumentation monitoring programs;
Perform construction administration work and field observations for geotechnical elements, including pile driving, drilled shaft installation, shallow foundation subgrade preparation, and earthworks;
Present technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences; and,
Assess trends and best practices in the infrastructure industry.
Requires Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of experience.
Salary Range is $142,750 to $172,250 per year.
