As a leader of the Fire Engineering team in India you will be working with a creative, innovative, multi-cultural and self-motivated team of fire safety consultants in India, the wider UK, Middle East and Africa teams, and globally. The successful candidate will complement our fire safety consultants by assisting with the implementation of fire engineering solutions and fire strategies across our projects. The Opportunity

Arup Fire are seeking a dynamic individual to support the growth of our fire engineering team in India. The role will be to lead on developing technical solutions, leading our team of engineers, developing client relationships, contributing to tenders and market engagement activities, identifying and monitoring project leads and opportunities. You will take a lead on growing our fire engineering business in India working closely with our multi discipline teams across India, Middle East and Europe.

As a leader withing Arup and the Fire team, you will have strong meeting and negotiating skills and experience of leading project teams. You will be a team player capable of imparting knowledge and experience to other members of the team to grow and develop them under your support. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for candidates with:

• A Degree in Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering or other relevant subject
• A Chartered Engineer or equivalent Professional Registration.
• 15+ years’ experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
• Deep knowledge of fire safety regulatory requirements in design, construction and in use, and familiar with associated standards and industry guidance across a range of sectors.
• Strong commercial and client facing skills to represent Arup externally.
• Experience in managing client relationships and winning new and repeat business.
• Experience of collaborating with clients and design teams to achieve regulatory compliance, business continuity and property protection goals in complex environments.
• Experience in the preparation of proposals, management of contract reviews, scope, programme and financial performance on projects.
• Experience in leading teams including overseeing engineers, coaching and mentoring others.
