Shape a future with purpose at Arup in Warsaw .

Start your engineering career and design sustainable solutions for the future.

Arup’s purpose, shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart for over 75 years, guiding how we shape a better world.

Arup has operated in the Polish market since 1998, creating technical solutions and supporting clients throughout the entire investment process—from concept, through design, supervision, and commissioning, all the way to the operational phase.
Arup’s first project in Poland was the Opel factory in Gliwice. We have a team of around 200 engineers, consultants, and skilled technical staff. We work for public and private sector clients, delivering creative and sustainable solutions based on efficient use of resources.

Our Road Engineering team is at the core of Arup’s commitment to sustainable development. We design innovative solutions that minimize environmental impact while creating comfortable, healthy, and efficient spaces where people can live, work, and thrive.

As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across Poland and beyond. From iconic buildings to critical infrastructure—we shape a better world.

Collaboration is in our DNA. Our mechanical and electrical engineers work closely with architects, designers, and specialists from various fields to deliver truly integrated and impactful solutions.
Join a team making measurable change. Our work in Water & Sanitary Installations directly contributes to creating a more sustainable and resilient future for communities in Poland and around the world.

The Opportunity

The Arup Poland road team consists of reliable, experienced, and above all creative engineers delivering road infrastructure designs around buildings such as industrial sites, data centres, and—most importantly—major infrastructure projects that often present engineering challenges due to their scale or complexity, including roads, airports, and electromobility-related projects. Our main focus is on the planning and strategic stages, and what characterizes the team is a holistic approach to design, the search for new and often unconventional solutions, and a forward-looking approach to the industry. We use the latest technologies to support both our design and legal/administrative work, continually learning and developing.

As a Senior Road Engineering Assistant and Designer at Arup, you will:

  • Independently carry out design tasks, prepare technical analyses, 3D models, and reports using your knowledge and skills.

  • Take part in site visits, client meetings, and design workshops, expanding your industry experience.

  • Support assistants/junior engineers in their daily project work.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team with talented senior engineers and assistants who share an ambition to create a better world. You will work on iconic projects—from major airports in Poland and abroad, and road tunnels, to small electric vehicle charging stations that contribute to sustainable development.

Our aim is to help you continue developing your soft and technical skills, and learn how to use them to achieve new, outstanding results. Through daily collaboration and knowledge-sharing with our senior engineers, you will gain new skills and inspiration for further professional growth.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Participating in infrastructure and multidisciplinary projects in both the public and private sectors in Poland and abroad—we do not limit ourselves.

  • Cooperation, cross-discipline coordination, and managing legal/administrative processes—expect days filled with meetings and calls.

  • Active involvement in developing and implementing automation of design and project-related processes—we see this as the future :)

Does this role inspire you?

We are looking for experienced engineers with significant achievements in design, who identify with our vision and want to contribute to many of Arup’s iconic international projects. To ensure Arup continues to maintain the highest quality, we are seeking candidates who:

  • University degree in Civil engineering
(other related fields will also be considered),

  • Have at least 8 years of experience in a similar role,

  • Are proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation,

  • Have strong skills in modeling software—OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D (knowledge of both is a strong advantage),

  • Have very good knowledge of English,

  • Demonstrate independence, proactiveness, and commitment.

    Nice to have:

  • Unlimited design permissions/licenses (an advantage but not required),

  • Knowledge of parametric design software—Grasshopper, Dynamo,

  • Knowledge of programming languages, especially C#, Python.
