The Opportunity
This is your chance to work for small regional airports or the largest hubs in the world. You will be able to work in project in airport planning and design, as well as to be able to lead projects and teams.
As an Airport Planner at Arup, you will:
Contribute to the development of airport layouts and designs, including terminals, airfield, and landside facilities
Participate in the planning and design of airfield layouts and support overall airport masterplanning initiatives
Perform demand/capacity analysis for runway, stands and terminals
Conduct simulation studies for both passenger and aircraft flows to optimise operational efficiency and capacity and enhance user experience.
Assist in the development of facilities requirements for various airport components.
Manage and deliver tasks and projects
Support the management and training of junior staff members
Engage in business development activities across multiple areas of airport planning
Be the client interface; represent Arup in internal and external meetings
Does this role inspire you?
We are looking for someone passionate in aviation. We also value:
Aerospace Engineering degree, Master's in Aeronautical Engineering, or similar.
2-4 years of experience in airport terminal design.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Modeling software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
High level of English and Spanish (C1) is required.
Strong organisational skills, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and business acumen.
Experience with the following tools is a plus:
Airport simulation modelling software such as CAST by ARC or AirTOP by Transoft.
Airport geometric design software such as Aviplan by Transoft or similar
Python or other programming languages
Power BI, data modelling and data analytics skills
Rhino/Grasshopper software
