We are seeking an experienced Mid Atlantic Bridges Lead to join our Bridges, Civil Structural, and Offshore Structures team in Baltimore. In this pivotal role, you will represent Arup through the construction phase of the signature Francis Scott Key Bridge replacement project, helping restore a vital connection for the people of Baltimore while positioning Arup to sustain and grow future bridge work across the Mid-Atlantic.
The Opportunity
- Serve as Arup’s Lead for the engineering services during construction on a signature bridge program, acting as a visible representative of Arup with the owner, contractor and project stakeholders
- Coordinate a multidisciplinary team to perform project-wide design quality oversight and independent checking
- Manage and drive the end-to-end review process for a high volume of contractor submissions, ensuring timely, coordinated, and risk based review prioritization
- Contribute to business development by supporting pursuit efforts and building strong industry relationships across the Mid Atlantic
- Inspire and mentor engineers, identify staffing needs and participate in recruiting
- The role will initially be located in an integrated project office in Baltimore with the owner, contractor and project stakeholders

Is this role right for you?
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- 12+ years of bridge structures experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills to coordinate across multiple parties and drive issue resolution
- Experience managing engineering services during construction
- Experience with complex bridges and alternate delivery

Baltimore Hiring Range – The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Baltimore is $160,000 to $180,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Baltimore will differ.
