This role involves providing professional consulting services to support Arup’s programme and project management work across a range of market sectors. The successful candidate will bring skills and experience in programme and/or project management within one or more sectors, including transport infrastructure, energy, water, and science and industry (such as data centres).
The Opportunity
- Support the successful delivery of projects by demonstrating strong commercial discipline and maintaining a high standard of work quality.
- Perform day-to-day project management duties across current and future projects, including design and construction projects, while also providing advisory support to clients.
- Assist Senior Project Managers in managing multidisciplinary projects and, where required, such as being engaged in meetings and develop relationships with new and existing clients.
- Prepare and maintain key project documentation such as project plans, schedules, resourcing profiles, financial controls, risk registers, and progress reports.
- Participate in project and client meetings, helping to track actions, risks, and issues while supporting the coordination of deliverables such as business cases, feasibility studies, and procurement documentation.
- Contribute to business development by supporting bids and proposals, strengthening client relationships, and collaborating within the team to drive project and organisational success.
Is this role right for you?
- Possesses 5–8 years of experience in engineering, project management, or project delivery within the consulting sector, with exposure to sectors such as aviation and data centres.
- Holds a relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, the built environment, business, or a related discipline, with some prior engineering experience considered advantageous.
- Eligible for or working towards professional membership with recognised bodies such as the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM), Project Management Institute (PMI), or similar organisations.
- Demonstrates strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with working knowledge of Microsoft Project considered essential.
