Expression of Interest – High-Voltage Electrical Engineers – Opportunities across Australia and New Zealand

At Arup, we’re shaping a more sustainable and resilient energy future through the delivery of complex high‑voltage transmission and distribution infrastructure across Australia, New Zealand and globally.

We are keen to connect with High Voltage Electrical Engineers with experience in the transmission and distribution and renewables sectors, specifically across primary and/or secondary systems who are motivated by technically challenging work and collaborative problem‑solving.

Our opportunities span the full project lifecycle — from market and client engagement, early‑stage advisory and concept design through to detailed engineering, construction support and commissioning - across renewable energy, transmission networks, substations and emerging technologies.

At Arup, you’ll work within multidisciplinary teams on projects that matter, supported by a culture that values curiosity, professional growth and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact for clients, communities and the environment.

Is this role right for you?

• Experience in high-voltage electrical engineering, with exposure to transmission and distribution, renewable, substations and/or energy infrastructure projects.
• Capability across primary and/or secondary HV systems, including design development, technical assessments and engineering documentation.
• Strong understanding or relevant Australian (and/or New Zealand) standards, with the ability to apply them pragmatically on complex projects.
• Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, contributing to collaborative design and integrated project outcomes.
• Clear communication skills, with experience supporting technical reporting, client engagement and project delivery across different stages of the lifecycle.
