As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be required to undertake Electrical design for major projects and produce drawings and reports in line with M&E specifications. · You will be involved in small and medium sized projects, as well as being a key member of larger project groups which include design, technical documentation, cost estimates, tender submissions, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budget.


The Opportunity

  • To provide hands on concept and detailed Mechanical design for a range of projects, in a lead discipline engineer role.
  • Facilitate and co-ordinate design activities, processes and other technical standards within the MEP team including the review and monitoring of technical standards in the team to ensure that design techniques, design review and check, reference material and software tools are up-to-date and are correctly applied.
  • Be part of a team that effectively wins and undertakes projects across the MEP and Buildings market within Indonesia.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with industry networks, clients, government agencies, sub-consultants and construction contractors relevant to the MEP team’s activities.
  • Supervise/prepare proposals/submissions and assist with negotiation of contracts within the MEP team’s framework for such activity


Is this role right for you?

  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 8 years of mechanical design experience in Data Centre Design. Preferably with Accredited Tier designer from Uptime Institute.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas and keeps up to date with current industry information and own knowledge and skills.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant local and international legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines
  • Ability to negotiate with clients and suppliers to gain favourable contractual and financial terms and conditions inline with Arup’s financial bidding processes;
  • Preferably having solid expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
