The Opportunity
Senior Engineer / Engineer / Assistant Engineer (Resource & Waste Management)
• Provide technical input to the strategy formulation, planning and design of resource and waste management schemes and strategies. This may include strategies for buildings and developments, or for cities in the East Asia Region.
• Required input will vary on a project basis, but is likely to include: waste forecasting, assessing opportunities for circular economy; assessing implications of changes to collection regimes and approaches; proposing separation and collection strategies for the development or area; evaluating and proposing resource and waste management infrastructure at a city or jurisdiction level; preparing outline designs and space proving requirements for the required facilities; coordinating with other disciplines to develop integrated solutions; preparing technical specifications; and other inputs as required related to resource and waste management.
• Prepare reports and presentations for clients and other stakeholders.
• Execute and manage multi-discipline projects from tendering to design work, project planning, procurement and site supervision, commissioning and operation, including collaboration with other technical disciplines.
• Provide strong technical leadership to others in group and technical input to multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Collaborate across offices as required (primarily East Asia and Southeast Asia).

Is this role right for you?
• Degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil engineering or related discipline.
• At least 8 or 5 years of relevant experience for the Senior Engineer or Engineer role respectively. The actual role offered would be subject to the experience and suitability of the candidate.
• Professional membership of a recognised institution is preferred.
• Strong capability in project management and problem-solving skills in multi-disciplinary projects.
• Ability to logically structure presentations and reports to give a concise and clear message.
• Be adaptable and able to work independently coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
• Be collaborator, able to identify gaps, close loops and effectively manage communication a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Background in Resource & Waste Management, demonstrating understanding of waste and recycling strategies and technologies is preferred.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
A candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Engineer.
