The Opportunity
The APAC AR Credit & Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable processes of the APAC region including the leadership and daily operations of the AR team.
Your role in our team
- Lead and manage the day to day activities, to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Engage with the region’s management and group leaders to ensure cash receipts targets are achieved and aligned with the region’s wider objectives.
- Review and approve credit applications in line with company policy.
- Monitor client accounts and follow up on late payments, disputes and delinquent accounts and escalate issues to senior management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to facilitate timely payments and resolve any issues in a proactive manner.
- Co-ordinate with other departments across the APAC region to resolve any invoicing or payment discrepancies.
- Conduct regular reviews of the account receivable aging report and take appropriate actions to minimize the risk of bad debts.
- Resolve disputes and coordinate with sales/operations to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Develop guidance, coaching, and training materials for the team.
- Collaborate with the Newcastle SSC and other global AR teams to implement standardised processes, ways of working, system improvements, and to promote automation across the APAC region.
- Prepare regular reports on debtor balances, aging analysis, and cash flow forecasts.
- Working with the APAC SSC Leader, develop and implement policies and procedures for the accounts receivable function to ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Is this role right for you?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field with recognized professional qualifications.
- At least 6 - 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work using own initiative.
- Experience working in a shared service center environment is preferred. Knowledge of JD Edwards or Oracle is preferred.
