At Arup we have an opportunity for a Public Health Engineer, seeking technically challenging work on cutting-edge projects in the science and healthcare sectors in the UK and Worldwide; to join our established Building Engineering Team in London.
You will play an active role in all stages of our projects from feasibility through to completion on diverse assignments, across a number of sectors. Not only will you be actively involved in the production of design information, you will also be involved in mentoring junior staff and reviewing project deliverables.. Working as an integral part of multidisciplinary engineering teams, they ensure seamless collaboration and contribute to innovative, sustainable solutions for our clients.

The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Public Health Engineer, seeking technically challenging work on cutting-edge projects in the science and healthcare sectors in the UK and Worldwide; to join our established Building Engineering Team in London.
The role will see you:
Developing engineering solutions from concept through to implementation stage.
Supporting the development of Engineers, maintaining an overview of public health engineering design quality, planning and managing resourcing.
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.
Supporting bid preparation and business development activities
Liaising with clients and managing client meetings as required.
Being innovative in changing the design of buildings through a deep knowledge of Public Health Building Services Engineering.
Have opportunities to develop your leadership skills by working alongside the Public Health Design Leader. You would be working on multi-disciplinary projects.

Is this role right for you?
We’re looking for a candidate who:
Has achieved a bachelor’s level engineering qualifications or higher building services engineering, hydraulic engineering, civil engineering or mechanical engineering.
Has an in-depth understanding and practical experience of the design of core public health systems.
Has a good understanding of BIM.
Possesses excellent communication and report writing skills.
