Primary Focus:

Reporting to EICA Team Leader and the role will provide the day-to-day technical output and deliverables. The Design Engineer will undertake their own technical and to support work being done by other technical staff and interface with wider design teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementing technical standards for work
  • Responsible in developing electrical power distribution, lighting, small power, grounding and lightning protection systems
  • Responsible for technical checks of work in own discipline
  • Responsible for responding to questions and technical queries.
  • Responsible monitoring programme of work
  • Conduct design activities in alignment with Arup’s Design Management Manual and Quality Management System

Qualifications:

  • Recognized qualifications in Electrical Engineering
  • PRC Licensed Engineer in the Philippines
  • Relevant industry experience in Electrical Engineering in the water and wastewater sector including development of designs and project engineering work.
  • At least 5 years relevant experience;

    3 years’ experience for electrical system design

  • Experience undertaking design work including electrical systems of treatment plants and process units.
  • Knowledgeable for technical calculations such as:
    o Load Calculations
    o Voltage Drop
    o Cable Sizing and equipment rating
    o Tray Sizing
  • Able to multi-task and work on several projects at the same time, without sacrificing quality of output
